Congratulations are in order for the American people as they bravely vote in their first black president. Much has been made of Mr Obama's ethnicity but that is just a glossy cover for what is probably the most important political event on not just the American, but the world stage.
With the current global political climate and economic turmoil we can be reasonably sure that the honeymoon period will be over quickly. Will we see more global politics that include oil based conspiracy theory and wars that look increasingly like they may be personal feuds?
Or are we going to see efforts to cross divides and boundaries to create peace and understanding?
Are there going to be trillion dollar bailouts for failed and failing businesses or are we going to see an approach to capitalism that allows the system to work without the peril of greed?
We should find out soon as this book is likely to be judged by it's cover long before any content arrives and that cover is not going to be concerned with skin colour only good intentions, solid actions and a huge global PR campaign will do.
